Q. How many Guitar players does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A. Six…………….one to screw in the light bulb and 5 to stand back and say, "Not bad, but I could've done it better."
Here we go.....................
Hit the 'play' button and listen through it one or two times. Notice how it goes downhill, then it jumps up and goes downhill again only to jump up and go downhill ………………..again……………….and again…………………..and again.
Pretty cool stuff, eh?
Look at the Circle of Fifths you downloaded; the top note is C. The first note on the lesson is C as well. Look at the Circle again…………………underneath is Am which is the Relative minor of C. The second measure on the lesson is A.
Looking again at the Circle……………..to the left is F and Dm. Then comes Bb and Gm.
See the pattern?
We are merely playing the Circle in a counter clockwise manner.
Now, the note placements I tabbed are to get you started. Experiment playing this exercise on different parts of the neck; the more you explore the possibilities the more skill you'll develop.
It's up to you………………….use your eyes and your ears; you have to be the one to see and hear the transitions. You'll be pleasantly surprised with your progress once you have played this a bunch of times.
If you're new to the site you don't know that I'm posting recipes designed for the starving musician all through the site. Take a few moments and browse through the lessons and copy the recipes. They're cheap and delicious.

Till next time……………………………………………..Kenny
